Since my retirement from public school teaching I have had the opportunity to be involved with this incredible organization.  I plan lessons to increase interest in and understanding of the music that will be performed at concerts planned specifically for children.  In addition to volunteering as a docent ,
I sometimes prepare my fellow docents by sharing ideas and resources they can use when visiting schools.  Some of these ideas could be used outside of preparations for a specific concert and so they are shared here.
